Who we are

Welcome to Mowata Kennel. A lovely home to your future pet companion. We are a family based kennel of dog lovers and enthusiasts specializing in Golden Retrievers and Rottweilers breed of dogs. We are located in Nanyuki-Kenya in the beautiful slopes of Mt-Kenya.

We are members of the East African Kennel Club which is the only recognized registry in the East African region. We pride ourselves in having top quality breeding stock from the best, proven and decorated kennel internationally. The health of our dogs is of utmost importance to us. Thanks to our Founder and Director Dr. Moses Wamaitha (BVM, MSC Vet Surgery; UON) who ensures that all dogs are health tested before breeding. This ensures that we only produce top Quality and healthy puppies for pet/show or working purposes making our clients very happy customers.

To showcase our quality, we involve ourselves in EAKC dog shows several times in a year. We are proud to hold the Best of Breed, EAKC champion titles of the Golden Retrievers breed.

As members of the EAKC we follow their guidelines in our breeding program and therefore breed only a few times in a year. We therefore encourage our potential clients whom want to rehome puppies from our beautiful litters to do so in writing (earmoses@gmail.com) or call (0724983206) in advance. We vet all our clients to ensure that our puppies end up in good forever homes only.
